What you need to know for the December Hike:

When: December 16th, 2023 – We will need to meet for carpooling at 8:00am and leave the parking lot no later than 8:00am to get there on time and be ready to begin the tour by

Tour Time: 9:45 to noon      RSVP no later than 12-3-23

Where: Hortense Miller Garden in Laguna Beach, CA (Directions)

What to Bring: Wear appropriate shoes for hiking, jacket, pants, camera for photography, water, snacks, and money if you plan to donate to the Friends of the Hortense Miller Garden (suggested donation $10-$20)

What to Expect: The Hortense Miller Garden covers 2.5 acres of the upper slopes of Boat Canyon in Laguna Beach and features over 1,200 species of native and exotic vegetation from all over the world. All tours are docent led. The Garden is a private residence in a gated community. Smoking is expressly forbidden in the Garden, and tours are limited to adults and teens accompanied by adults. The garden is located on a hillside and some paths are steep and rugged, so please wear appropriate shoes. There is a waiver that will need to be signed by all who attend this tour and we can do that just before we hand the waiver to the docent. If we are all in agreement, we can eat lunch after the tour at a local restaurant, otherwise we will head back to our vehicles in Lake Elsinore at noon. Those of you who choose not to carpool can go about your day on your own agenda.
