Allow me to invite you on an exhilarating journey to explore the enchanting trails of Pine-Cove Idyllwild, where we will discover the serene beauty of Lake Fulmor. This picturesque reservoir, transformed into an artificial lake at the behest of county surveyor Alexander Fulmor in 1947, was created to facilitate the construction of Highway 243 by damming Indian Creek. The local newspaper, the Friday Crier, heralded this development and honored A.C. Fulmor with the lake's namesake, recognizing his pivotal role in this project. Today, Lake Fulmor has blossomed into a beloved destination for picnicking, fishing, and photography, offering several inviting sitting areas with stunning backdrops. The lake is a haven for anglers, regularly stocked with a variety of fish species, including rainbow trout from spring to late fall, catfish, wide-mouthed bass, and bluegill.
