Dr. Shari Sorbo

“Out beyond the ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I will meet you there.”   ~ Rumi

I believe in the field of possibilities and helping people discover and live their true purpose from their own heart-centered authenticity.

My own path to this spiritual teaching began some thirty years ago when my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. At the time I was with Disciples of Christ church and began questioning that philosophy, thinking there has to be another way.  I discovered one of Terry Cole-Whitaker’s television broadcasts and I was hooked.  I began taking classes at her Center in San Diego and the rest is history.

I have been a licensed Practitioner for over 20 years, training with Rev. Michael Beckwith at the Agape Center in Los Angeles. While there I developed the Deaf Ministry and we graduated the first Deaf Practitioner. I’ve shared my strong passion for this Deaf Ministry, and it has influenced people like Marianne Williamson and others to obtain interpreters for their events.

In addition to Rev. Beckwith, I’ve studied with and been influenced by many other leaders in the movement; Rev. Helen Street, Robert Masters, Brene’ Brown, and Terry Roberts who, as one of the Little Rock Five, broke the color barrier in the 50’s.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles and am currently working on my Doctorate in Divinity and Spirituality from Emerson Theological Institute, and am writing my thesis on Spiritual Maturity with an emphasis on bridging psychology and spirituality together.

I have a private practice where I work with clients across the United States through Skype and also in person and travel to various parts of the United States facilitating workshops.

We recently moved to the Temecula area and we are very happy to be part of this wonderful community.

My skills include:

  • MBA, Psychology
  • Licensed RScP Practitioner for 20 years
  • Spiritual psychotherapy practitioner
  • Daring Waytm curriculum facilitation in small groups and individual sessions.
  • Offering grief / bereavement support
  • Member of the CSL TV Board of Directors
